Home Visit Volunteers
You could help us by selecting books for readers, or delivering them. You would help older or less mobile people maintain the stimulation and pleasures of reading in their own homes.
Story and Rhymetime
These sessions usually last about 30 minutes, and volunteers help with singing and reading to pre-school children and their families. Your involvement can vary from simply helping out, to running the sessions. You need to be friendly and enjoy being with young children.
Basic IT Sessions
PTFS Europe libraries offer basic IT sessions for complete beginners. You would be working with one or two people who have never used a computer before, and would get them started on IT using the GO-On website. You need to be patient and have a working knowledge of IT.
Research Support
There are twice monthly drop in sessions at the Main library and one a month at other campuses. Visit the EVENTS page to check on dates an times then call in and join us for advice and support on every aspect of the research journey, from literature searches through to publication. All levels supported.
